Do the pastel minis sound different from the bold ones?

No. The colour is the only difference. Every two-mic mini uses the same speaker driver, the same digital sound processor and the same five-step volume control.

Which pastel is best for a toddler?

For a three-year-old we usually point to the light-pink speaker with the single slim mic, because the handle is narrow enough for a small grip. Any of the two-mic pastels work from about age four.

Can two pastel minis be used together?

Each speaker pairs with its own mics and its own phone. Two sets can run side by side in the same room, but they do not link into one sound system.
