Every family has a song that gets played on repeat until the whole house knows the words. YLL was built for that song.

Side A: how it started

Too quiet at home
YLL started with a dad who loved karaoke and whose long working days kept him away from the noisy, giggly evenings he wanted with his kids. Big karaoke rigs sat in cupboards; nobody had time to set them up.
A speaker the size of a lunchbox
So the idea shrank. One small cube, cordless microphones that find the speaker by themselves, and a phone as the jukebox. Ten seconds from box to first note.
The first loop
The first minis went to friends' children. They came back with one complaint: the batteries ran out before the kids did. Longer battery life became the first thing we fixed.

Kid-first controls
Five volume steps you set, big buttons, a light key for bedtime and a vocal-reduce key that lets a child take over the melody.
Colours they pick
Pastels, bold shades, a kitten, two dinosaurs. Children choose by colour first, so we treat colour as a feature, not decoration.
Checked before it sings
Each batch is tested for sound, pairing and charging before it leaves the factory, and the corners are rounded for small hands.
